CONSPIRACY MONGERING, PARANOID TV HOST IS NO CONSERVATIVE

Beck said he would vote for Hillary. What sane conservative would say that?

Didn't Ann Coulter say the same thing before the nomination?

JACK BAUER IN A POST BUSH WORLD

One need only observe the spectacular success of the interrogation of Khalid Sheik Mohammed to know that torture absolutely works..

Nope, not at all. Khalid said ANYTHING to stop the torture.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed stated at a Guantanamo Bay hearing that he murdered the Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in Karachi in 2002, though Pakistan has already convicted a terrorist named Omar Saeed Sheikh for the slaying,

BLOG SERIES ON "WHAT AILS CONSERVATISM?" STARTS TOMORROW

We know pretty much what’’s wrong with the ideology of conservatism. But what of the philosophy that is its underpinning?

Uh, what philosophy? Are you talking about Burke, a great defender of Habeas Corpus?

THE TOTAL WITLESSNESS OF OBAMA APOLOGISTS

Yes, some may think trying to blow up the Pentagon is “wrong”

And some wouldn't. Perhaps even this person:

"We of the Kennedy and Johnson administrations who participated in the decisions on Vietnam acted according to what we thought were the principles and traditions of this nation. We made our decisions in light of those values. Yet we were wrong, terribly wrong. We owe it to future generations to explain why."

Returning to presidential politics,[Colin] Powell condemned controversial remarks by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor of 20 years, as "deplorable" but complimented the Democratic candidate for his speech on race that followed in the aftermath.

"Rev. Wright is also somebody who has made enormous contributions in his community and has turned a lot of lives around," Powell said, "And so, I have to put that in context with these very offensive comments that he made, which I reject out of hand."

HUCKASPLITTER

Acts of the Apostles

(New Revised Standard version)

4:32
Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.

4:34
There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold.

4:35
They laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.

FACING UP TO THE UNBEARABLE TRUTH

I seem to recall that for the last 30 years for the most part, Democrats have been the “permanent minority party.”

I'd say it was from 1994-2006 in the House.
